What Do You Call An Interest In Building With Lego

There needs to be a word for building with LEGO products. I'm working on my resume for an internship at a hospital, and I wanted to put LEGO as one of my interests. I wish there was some official word, or a professional term, for people who build with LEGO. Maybe we can create one, if the term does no already exist.

Thoughts? Ideas?

Building things?

Construction models?

MOCing? (Although it is a risk, imagine the benefits if they know what it is haha)

Only if you're doing it with the express purpose of creating art, in which case you are an artist whose chosen medium is Lego, or a Lego artist. Toamods and set revamps are not art.

My advice is to just say designing original models, something like that. Cool and creative things can be done with Lego (and you've done them), but popular conception is still that it's just a kid's toy.

Designing & building original creations using LEGO bricks.

Kinda wordy, but it gets the meaning across.

^Actually, I just used that phrase in an engineering Co-op interview today. It went over really well and they were rather impressed. It kinda helped that I had images of some of the things that I've made.

That tends to enlighten people. :)

I've always been scared to show my builds to anyone outside the LEGO community, but I think I should give it a shot.
