They do not, they show that they lack individuality, they show that they lack freedom. Freedom of thought, freedom of expression, they think only what other members think, they express only what other members express, they are not their own person, they are slaves.

Wow. That was deep. You're forgetting one thing, though. They have the freedom to express themselves by thinking what other members think. So, they have the freedom to chose whether they want to be a slave or not.

I believe the actual reason is because they're convinced that BZP is a tyranny, and they are pretending to have their names "censored" to convince themselves of their solidarity against the dictators. Yup, they're individual. Each and every one of them.

Meh. BZP isn't too tyrannical IMO. They could be much worse. I'd say they're just strong leaders. They need to keep order somehow. I'm an individual, and I don't have them!
