Vampire bugs stink. (Like anyone didn't know that already.) We have a swamp about a half-mile from our house, so there's mosquitoes EVERYWHERE.

Got 22 bites this week. Got 6 more last night. And I'm probably gonna get more when I go to camp next month.

 

And yes, I counted all of them. They itch. Badly.

On a good note, the guys in my family are gone for the week (Boy Scout thing), so my mom has a whole bunch of stuff planned for the rest of us in the house. :happydance:

 

Main thing I gotta get done while my bro's gone, though, is his room: He's got Endor, Endor's moon, and the Death Star only halfway painted onto his wall, and my goal is to finish them. Basically, I have to darken up one side of the planets, add some texture and highlights, and do some fine work detail on the Death Star.

 

With wall paint... :mellow:

Amazingly, I haven't had many bug bites, and here is probably the worst place to get 'em.

I haven't gotten any mosquitoe bites yet this year... I don't go outside much in the summer... cause of those gosh-danged DEERFLIES! They are so annoying.... I've fallen down a couple times because they've divebombed me to the ground. And then there are those scary, ugly-looking dragonflies... and who can forget the moths... they flutter... *shudders* Oh yes, and the bees. Scary things. Oh and spiders... I had a run-in with three in one day, Saturday -- one on the railing on the stairs by my back porch. Another on the door of the front porch. And yet another on the railing of the stairs at church. I -- HATE -- BUGS!! Well technically, none of those are "true bugs." So... I -- HATE -- INSECTS!! Well, the spiders are arachnids, not insects, so that doesn't count... oh well.

 

Anyway, enough about bugs/insects/arachnids. That Star Wars wall-painting sounds really awesome! I wish you could come over to my house and paint my wall... that would rock... but as we live states away, that couldn't possibly happen.

Aye. Mosquitos are a nonstop threat to me. Them critters are attracted to sweat, and when I get to pulling the lawn out, they literally just swarm to me. But lucky, I'm none too alergic to them (which is why you itch, FYI), so it doesn't confront me.

Ugh my friend had an end of the year manhunt party a week ago and i was covered in mosquitoes. And yes wall paint stinks for detailing...I've tried too and it didn't work too well... <_<
