So . . . since I was bored, I decided I would enter the Comedy forum for the first time in months. So, I clicked on the first comedy I saw. And I will say one thing:

I won't be going back to that forum for a while. tongue.gif

I had to stop mid-way through the first chapter. Just so much spam and newbishness. Sure, I wrote a comedy once that was pretty newbish, but it wasn't that bad . . . I'll never write a comedy again, though.

Though, I want to try to make an actual Short Story that's a comedy, since it is rather hard to make a good comedy that's an actual story, rather than the normal comedies you see in the comedy forum.

So, yeah. A fun experience.

I'm sure there's some good comedies out there, but they get piled on top of by all the spam comedies, that you can't even find them.

What was it? Was it that "Bionikel" comedy? Cause Lewa# made that to spoof all the noobish comedies. Try clicking on TBTTRAH or anything else by Lewa#.

---

No, it wasn't. But I'm not going to say who wrote it or what is was so I don't offend the author. wink.gif

Very few of the Comedies in the forum are actually entertaining.

Truthness.

It's problems like this that keep the good comedies hidden. A few bad comedies scary people away from the forum, and the noobish people don't comment on the "less noobish" stories, so they wind up comment-less and dead...

The forum is a virtual graveyard, filled with funny jokes and maybe even rational uses of the term "pie." ohmy.gif

---

What is this Pie you speak of? XD Yeah, that's way overused. Same with Ask Comedies.

And, I totally agree with you. I'll admit that I liked a few Comedies. They weren't in actual Story format, but they were still pretty good. I'm not sure if I'd like them now, though, since that was like a year ago.

Oh, and your Kulagi's Date is a good example of a Comedic Short Story.

Amen to that Xccj. My comedy "Ask Mesonak!" has been praised for its Un-noobishness., and is considered by everyone to be the second best Ask Comedy on BZPower, next to Ask Matau by Lewa#. Me and him create our own jokes, and mix good-quality humor with a smidge of randomness, to create a perfcet blend. MT does the same.

---

Can I have a link to your Story?

And, yes, those things are good in Comedies.

Ask Matau (Read first)

---

It wasn't that bad . . . no where near as bad as the other one I just read. I'll admit that I chuckled a couple times. It's still a little to newbish for my liking. Not that it's a bad Comedy, but I prefer more serious stories. I'm not sure why, though.

Well, he also got better as he progressed. There are 58 chapters, after all! But if you want the best comedy on here, no questions asked, check out The Bionicles Try To Run A House, BZP's longest comedy with over 300 chapters! You can't read it all, but still...

---

I think I used to read that a while ago . . . I can't remember, though.

That's why I never go in there. It'll scar you for life. ><

Plus, I've started writing SS's, so I plan to stay in that library section anyway. tongue.gif

Lol.

Yeah, me too. I still have yet to read your latest one, but from the reviews in the topic it sounds good. tongue.gif

Well, I await your review. smile.gif

---

Alright. smile.gif

Though, could you review my story, too? It's linked in my sig. In big red letters. tongue.gif

Oh, sure! I read that, but didn't have time to review because I had to go to school, then forgot. tongue.gif

I'll go right now. smile.gif

Wait. You're telling me you actually went into the comedies forum?

I don't think I ever have.

-Laka

---

Yeah, I used to when I first joined. I actually joined because I wanted to post in a comedy that I read before I joined.

Oh, and it's nothing special. tongue.gif You might be better off never going in there.

I went there once to congratulate the existence of a Comedies Critics Club.

If I ever write a comedy, it will be noobish and horrible on purpose.

And my grammar will be deprecatingly AWFUL.

Naw, I might die if I try that. Forget it. I'd rather kill myself.

I can't remember if I have . . . link?

Here. wink.gif

Two notes: Firstly, it hasn't been posted in since last spring, and secondly the beginning chapters are incredibly old. Just to warn ya'. biggrin.gif

I'll read it later. I like the format though!

Oh, and you really need a Library.
