Helpful Commercial Descriptions

So recently, I heard a commercial for a radio which enticed you with descriptions such as, "The most top-of-the-line, groundbreaking radio you can find on the market! How could you choose otherwise, when it has a patented double-coiled antenna, bright and readable LED face, and... *gasp*... functional knobs and buttons!"

...

Wait... knobs and buttons that actually do something!? Technology really has advanced!

:kaukau:I remember seeing an add for a knife made of some white substance that was so sharp, you could drop a fruit on it and the fruit would be sliced in half, and the blade never needed to be sharpened.

Well, that's great! Not only do I find the rare occasion where I need to sharpen a blade a "constant bother that makes life soooooooo difficult", but don't we all want knives that we could accidentally cut our fingers off with all that more easily?

It's like back when DVDs first came out, when the Special Features box on the back always said "Interactive Menus!" and "Seene Selection!" And we were all, "That's amazing! =O" Ahh, the good old days.

:kaukau:You know, now that I think about it, I still do remember the days when there were "cordless phones". There still are, but now they're called "cell" phones. I miss the cordless phones. They were much simpler.

What kinda junk did YOU have? :P

I've had cool knobs and stuff on my CD players and sound systems that are pretty much exactly the same today...just the things a bit....bigger.... <.<

P.S. I'm extremely offended by the Coke and Pepsi quote in your block and I'm going to get BZP to make a rule and ban you for using it. :P

:kaukau:Now that I think about it, advertising functioning buttons might make sense if it was for certain types of clothing. For example, those buttons on the sleeves of suits.

Yeah, I'd buy one. Then I'd go dance in some gymnasium and roll up me sleeves. Rick Astley style.
