Permanent chunk error in singleplayer world. How fix?

My huge minecraft project world has developed a big ol chunk error in a critical part of it. A chokepoint of sorts has been blasted to bits, and that's a problem. Any way to fix it that anyone knows about? Seeing as I had good redstone stuff set up there and I really don't want to have to reroute everyone.

Do you have any earlier versions of the map? If so, I would suggest MCediting it back in. If not, there really isn't much you can do. :/
