What are people getting upset about this time?

An abortion law.

Needless to say, some people are very happy and some people are very unhappy.

I was under the impression that this entry was more about the blatant display of political corruption that occurred while the whole thing was going down last night

but that's the most I'll say about that

Just saying, if you don't like it, there's 49 other states you can move to.

Seconded, and I'm sure there are many people in states with more liberal abortion laws that would say the same to opponents of those laws in their states.

Thankfully, there's no need for anyone to move anywhere.

Yet.

Please let's stay away from the topic of political discussion. Thanks.

Texas is great, I don't care what goes on.

Now, what is there to see here:

  • Palo Alto Canyon (Palo Alto is Spanish for tall branch)
  • Galveston
  • Port Aransas
  • Houston
  • San Antonio (which is home of the Alamo)

And much more.

I went to Texas once

it was hot and uncomfortable

This entry is about last night, and that's all I'll say on the matter. You want to talk about it, take it up with someone privately.

Ah. Texas.

We really should sell, no, give it to China. We lose nothing and we weaken China.

We lose Austin.

I've been to Texas twice, and left unimpressed both times.

ITT: Hate on Texas?

There isn't a law preventing it. The bill died?

Ah. Texas.

We really should sell, no, give it to China. We lose nothing and we weaken China.

California would be a better gift to the Chinese. Also why does everyone hate Texas as if it were the source of all evil?

I asked people to not discuss politics. If it continues, this entry will be locked.

I lived in Houston.

That place was a nightmare.

"..As a sovereign country (in 2012), Texas would be the 14th largest economy in the world by GDP.."

"...The economy of Texas is one of the largest and most rapidly growing economies in the United States..."

"...Texas is one of the major hubs in the U.S. for development of computer components and systems, as well as software. Austin, Dallas, and Houston are the major centers for this industry in Texas...."

"...Texas is a global leader in the energy industry and Houston is the energy capital of the world...."

Just saying, if Texas was "given away" to China, the U.S. would be losing a LOT.

Because it is the opposite of California. :P

economics aren't everything

Like it or not, you need money to keep the government running. Texas gives a lot of taxes to the Government, the one that just ruled on the DOMA.
