I think the first two seasons of Technicolor Horse are good, but after that it gets eh. 

And I'm actually not really into the fandom at all, lol. 

I don't watch Spongebob for pretty much the same reason I decided I couldn't continue watching One Piece so...

 

East? West? Anime? Cartoons?

I was joking. I do watch certain anime and I have no doubt there are worthwhile Western Cartoons (Early Futurama comes to mind, as well as Tom and Jerry for the childhood <3 and I keep hearing things like Gravity Falls mentioned as good watching) I'm just not adventurous enough to find them myself. I rely on my friends and on people from this site to point me in the right direction when it comes to shows animated and live.

Cartoons are silly and have set up unrealistic expectations of anvils. 0/10 would not recommend.

For a more on-topic comment, I do just have no idea how the character design in Spongebob went to this sort of thing so quickly. It used to have such a nice, smooth aesthetic, now it's all grotesque overdetailed monstrosities. Ugh.
