So yeah.

DA:I

Taking my time. Savoring it. Screwing up so Cassandra keeps Disapproving of me while I attempt to romance her and her magnificent cheekbones.

I really wish I had the time, money, and computer to play the new Dragon Age; I haven't played either of the others but it sounds amazing. Unfortunately, money and time have already been dedicated to Smash.

Play Origins and #2 first. Origins builds the world and makes you appreciate how #2 smoothed the combat, both of which let you truly appreciate Inquisition.

I haven't heard good things about DA2, but if I can find it for cheap (preferably $15 or less) then I'll definitely give Origins a go.

DA2 is...

It's not the Literal Satan game everyone makes it out to be, despite being plagued by some really bad choices, namely there being roughly six maps total in the whole game and how fights are handled. On the other hand, the characters are incredible (except Anders), and the location is actually really unique once you find out what's going on.

I never beat Origins and never played 2, mostly since my sister like, took Origins from me and then clocked over 3k hours in it. (And ~found~ it magically after DA:I released >.>)

But I'm having fun with DA:I, though I'm not used to the combat (the targetting system feels really finnicky to me), but the world's pretty and I like the level of exploration we're given in it (I'm still just in Hinterlands since I was doing a bunch of quests there before running into Puff the One Shot Dragon).

In the words of the devs, Kit, "leave the hinterlands."

Seriously. hinterlands are, like, the most tutorial place of all tutorial places. Get out in Thedas! Explore!
