I thought the bohrok were decent. Nuva did look a bit ugly and poorly thought out though.

There's no a bit about it. They were some of the ugliest sets I've seen come out of Bionicle's 10-year run.

I love the Bohrok!

I've given my thoughts on the Bohrok in Tilius' blog at one point, but I'll sum it up right here.

 

The Bohrok were among the best canister sets to date.

 

The Nuva were alright.

But I loved the Nuva!

I'll restate this. Kal > Bohrok. Probably partially because I dislike sets that represent one individual out of a sea of identical clones of it. At least the Kal were unique.

And the Nuva's masks were UGLY. Except the Miru and Kakama. The Kakama just didn't look good on Pohatu.

I respect your opinion.

 

But erm, the Bohrok were awesome. Heck, even the Va were awesome. We also got our first widely-available McToran in the Boxor set, along with the Exo-Toa which was awesome, and the Bahrag which remain some of the best sets to date. The only failure were the Nuva, but even that is miniscule fail when compared to some modern sets.

 

But seriously, what's not to love about the Bohrok? We haven't had such an original line of canister sets ever.

OK, since I'm evidently not being clear enough:

I have no problem with the Bohrok builds, the Va, or the titans. (although I think the Bahrag could have looked a little better, but then again I never owned them). It's the bohrok as "characters" and some minor details in the sets that I dislike. I just like the Kal more than the Bohrok.

And yes, I am fully aware that I have the "wrong" opinon

I liked the hive-theme of the Bohrok characters. But I also love the Kal, so I understand where you're coming from.

 

As long as you approve of at least one form of Bohrok, it's fine by me.
