Imagine a line. This line is time. Now, we see time as lone dots in rapid succession, each dot leading to the next.

 

Tralfamadorians, on the other hand, see the whole line at once. Nothing leads to anything else, it just all IS.

People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly … timey-wimey … stuff.
