Today I got the third and final book in the Kane Chronicles series, The Serpent's Shadow. I've only read up to Chapter 5 so far, but it's pretty good so far.

 

I've been meaning to get this book for a while (as I already have the first two), but I've never had the money to buy it until just recently, so yay and stuff.

I'm still waiting till I can find this book in a library. Riordan's way formulaic writing lost its appeal a long time ago, so I'm definitely not going to bother paying for it. But who knows, it may actually turn out to be enjoyable.

The Kane Chronicles are okay, but not as good as the Heroes of Olympus series, which are not nearly as good as the Percy Jackson series, not by a long shot.

 

To be honest, I've only read the first book, and I didn't really find it worthwhile. I only finished it because I thought for sure it would get better, but I found it rather disappointing.
