So I just finished watching LOST last night. It was an awesome (if horribly confusing at times) show. Definitely one of my favorite TV shows I've ever seen.
As for favorite characters, there are too many of them for me to list them all. I will say that I enjoyed Benjamin Linus, John Locke, Desmond Hume, and Sawyer more than the other characters, but again almost all of them were well-developed and had interesting backstories and personalities.
I might just watch it again, but not any time soon. It'll be fun to watch it again, though, because I'll be able to notice hints and foreshadowing that I didn't notice the first time, now that I know how it ends.
