While I Still Have A Blog

Posted by Tavakai , in Serious Business Dec 21 2011 · 40 views

Because I feel like it.

First off, we'd like to note that the religion and politics rules in the forums are very strict, whereas in the blogs, we tend to be a little loose in those areas.

Therefore, before the Premier stuff ends, I'm getting this through.

And I'm including the "not allowed" parts just as a reminder to make sure nobody takes this in the wrong direction.

Religion:

Allowed in blogs:

  • Mentioning your religion.
  • Mentioning religion-tied holidays
  • Explanations of religious holidays (just don’t get too in-depth. If it starts a debate/flame war, it will be removed.)
Not allowed in blogs:
  • Bashing of other religions
  • “This religion is better.”
  • “You should convert to…”
  • Anything you think might spark flame.

I'm Mormon.

Politics:

Fine in blogs:

  • “I support (X candidate)”
  • "How voting works" entries (and the like)
  • "Go out and vote" entries
Not fine in blogs:
  • Candidate/leader bashing
  • Discussion of major issues
  • Anything you think might spark a debate.

For president, I supported Herman Cain right up until he suspended his campaign, with Bachmann and Santorum second and third. Now, I think I'm supporting Bachmann, with Romney second, and Santorum third.

Unfortunately though, I'm a day too young to vote in 2012 (I turn 18 literally the next day after the election). :P

A day too young? Wow. :P

Yeah, I liked Herman Cain too, too bad he was a loser.

I used to hate Bachman. But recently, she's become an interesting candidate. Probably my third favorite. :P

The election is actually on my birthday. Luckily, I turned 18 in a non-election year.

Tis a bummer, but at least you can vote in future elections. Unless the world implodes or something at the end of 2012. :P

I always like how 'politics' on BZP refers pretty much only to US politics.

I also like how 'anything that might spark a debate' is actively discouraged, lol.

Tavakai

Don't know who Tavakai is? If you don't go to Artwork II and III, that's understandable. And if you don't know what Artwork II and III are, well... yeah.

He does some spriting (though not enough to release his own kit just yet) and has his own comics.

He's also a member of the International ComicContinuity, a continuity between over a dozen comic makers.

Religion: Mormon
Politics: Conservative but I'm basically almost libertarian except for a few issues
