Richard Rahl… I thought that name sounded vaguely familiar. I had no idea you knew about Legend of the Seeker. :o

You did a really amazing job on this with watercolor (I think you know I expressed my dislike of watercolor painting) and it looks really great. There’s a really nice bit of detail throughout the drawing, the furrowing of the brows, the folds of the clothing, and even the detail on the hilt of the sword. You did a great job on illustrating the fingers too, you didn’t round them off or make them cut off, the hand looks natural and round like it is gripping the sword.

One thing that is a bit off is the proportions of the facial features. As a general rule of thumb, the space between the eyes is usually one eye. You have a large gap between your eyes that is about one and a half eyes wide, which makes your nose look a bit large as well. The mouth looks good for the most part, your corners line up with the center of your eyes. I think the mouth might be a little too wide; his snarling lips raised look is a bit unnatural.

You did some really amazing work here though, I’m really impressed with what you did with watercolor!

I saw it yesterday, actually, but didn't have time to comment on it. ^^;;

But, it is awesome and I hope more paintings surface (unless this isn't the first, in which case I'd be far behind in terms of knowledge XP). I never have any critique to really give with visual art, sooo... yeah. ^^;;
