More GOT Thoughts
Spoilers, obviously, for last night's episode.
It's more of me thinking about this tv show!
I think I'm finally figuring out what's been bugging me. Look at the Arya plot in this one. Something happened, a girl made a choice, there was a big turn. That the plot (In order to join the Faceless Men, Arya is tasked with assassinating an actress, she then decides that no, this wonton assassinating people think isn't her schtick, gets back Needle) is split over two episodes really hurts it, because the first half is so weak without the second.
It seems like the episodes' editing has been kinda iffy this season, with bits that should have happened over the course of one episode taking place over two (ie: Daenerys and Jorah last week, Daenerys and Speech #15 this week; at this rate she'll be meandering through the desert until episode 9).
The overall pacing of the show isn't slow, it's just off. Almost like it's meant to be bingewatched.
