Ever Wanted to Live in Westeros? Redux

Still no?   Fair enough.   Well, you can at least play the overwhelmingly less cold and less deadly BZP's Game of Thrones: Season 2, run by local G&T savant Voltex. Knowledge of or participation in the previous season, Martin's Game of Thrones, or BIONICLE GII is completely unnecessary-- everything important is summed up in the first post, and any additional information you might want to know can be found in Voltex's now-concluded Lore & Histories project, an interesting and often thrill

*The Most Important Voting Entry*

There is much more to be said on the subject of voting than to simply admonish you to go out and vote, as admirable as may be such an admonishment. That said, I will try to keep this brief. The first, and most important thing:   Voting is not just your privilege. It is also your duty. Therefore, as an adult is expected to do in the way of their duty, you owe it to yourself, your nation, and your local community to perform the task in front of you to the very best of your ability. That means thor

Ever Wanted to Live in Westeros?

Probably not, huh? But I'll bet you've thought GoT would make one heck of a great game, in which case BZP's Game of Thrones is a place you should be right now.   -

Burn Reviews Anime: The Crummy Second Season That Ruins the Story and Introduces Awful Characters

*Title inspired by Death Note, Darker Than Black, and more recently, Code Geass   We're gonna shoot for more than 7 installments this time.   We're also going to make entries consist less of filler, and more of discussing the merit of the anime in question. Not gonna do full-fledged reviews or anything, more of a blurb type of deal, and a rating over several categories.   As these two goals are both fairly ambitious in their own right, and I just got done with a massive real-life-induced hiatus,

There's a Lot of Debate Over Whether TW3 or FO4 Should Win GOTY

I think the answer is very simple. Give TW3 GOTY 2015, and FO4 GOTY 2016. While, at first glance, this seems impossible, as FO4 will be released in 2015, one must also consider that it will not be playable until 2016, and therefore ought to be eligible for that year's GOTY award.   *Snaps fingers*

Burn Watches Anime, Chapter 7: Some 'Several Days' That Was, Huh?

Man, sorry about the wait. It's like my free time suddenly disappeared the moment I determined to use it for this blog. =P   Anyway, I've determined to continue doing the writing whatchamathinger I mentioned in the last entry. The problem is, you guys didn't offer me any suggestions as to what I ought to write about! How can you expect me to do anything without being told exactly what it is I should be doing? Your faith in my ability to think freely has resulted in the abomination that will be p

Burn Watches Anime

Hello there! It's been rather too long since I last added an installment to this series of entries, but I plan to write one up within the next several days! though none of you likely noticed anyway hahaha ;_;   In the meantime, I have a question regarding the review of Spice and Wolf I wrote for the previous entry. Well, several questions, anyway.   Firstly: Did you enjoy reading the review? Was my writing good? Would you read another one, or a similar bit of writing, though not quite in the for

Burn Watches Anime, Chapter 6: Can't Think of a Subtitle, Better Change My Name

Howdy, reader(s?)! Long time, no see! This is a rather special entry, you see, as the day it's being posted upon, the 19th of November, happens to be the anniversary of my joining BZPower. That's right, I have now been here for exactly 7 years! And what better way to celebrate such a momentous occasion, than by doing away (temporarily, mind you) with the name I've had for all this time? (No, changing it from Burnmad : toa of emoticons to Burnmad: Toa of Emoticons doesn't count)   So, now I'm Col

Burn Watches Anime, Chapter 5: By Semi-Popular Request?

So, I guess I'm writing it now.   First off, I finished Madoka Magica. I can definitely see why people love it so much, and I definitely liked it a lot, myself, but I wouldn't quite call it a favorite. It also failed to make me cry. So much for your sneak attack, Farmstink. Where is your subterfuge now?   Afterwards, I blew through Clannad, as well. It was excellent, buuuut... no tears. Then again, I began After Story yesterday, so who knows? You guys should be careful, though. If I start crying

Burn Watches Anime, Chapter 4: Dango. :3

In the time since I last wrote about my anime-watching exploits, I've watched a wider variance of anime, if not a greater total amount, than I had preceding any other chapter so far. I began by finally watching Girls und Panzer, because it had a Hetzer, and because during its peak of popularity among the World of Tanks community, I couldn't go a single match without seeing it recommended to someone. Plus, there's a Hetzer in it. The non-tank parts of the show weren't very interesting, but it had

Burn Watches Anime, Chapter 3: Developer Bungie, Your Game is Mine!

Hello, people! Last night I finished watching what has become, though not my favorite anime overall, definitely my favorite shounen. Soul Eater! I don't know how to succinctly sum up my thoughts on this anime, so I'll let my friend, whom I showed the first episode of this and a few other anime, do it for me.   "THAT MOON IS NOT RIGHT"   Speaking of this friend, he got me to watch a few episodes of Fairy Tail, which I enjoyed, as well. I may watch that, next, or one of the other numerous anime on

Got to See Guardians of the Galaxy Last Night

In IMAX 3D. You can't tell because one always capitalizes IMAX and the 'D' in 3D, but that was said with greater intensity than the blog title. Or the word 'in'.   Anyway, yeah, pretty spectacular. I could tell when Quill started playing the first song on his Walkman that it was going to be a hilarious movie, and it was. =P   -

Burn Watches Anime, Chapter 2: I Actually Did a Second One!

So! It's been a while since the last installment of Burn's Bad Opin-- I mean, Burn Watches Anime. Since that time, however, I have watched another entire anime, and a decent-sized one, at that: Death Note!   I quite enjoy things like this, where the characters use logic to solve their problems. In addition, the animation was very good, and the soundtrack was decent (Though I didn't care for the opening or closing themes). But none of this matters, now. Because this series had the absolute worst

Burn Watches Anime, Chapter 1: Did You Forget? I'm a Heartless Wretch!

Since I've recently been getting into anime, and since everyone else (Read: Tekulo) was doing this, I figured I'd catalog my anime experiences. (And put quotes in the titles that are completely unrelated to anime... I digress.)   Just finished Steins;Gate, which was spectacular. Started it late Saturday, which is also the same day I watched Anohana.   Apparently, I was supposed to be crying at both, or something. If you think I did, I kindly point you towards my blog title. The Moon

I took it upon myself to explore the entirety of good ol' Luna during the mission. The landscape was beautiful, and the area accessible in the beta alone was huge. Deep within the moon, I ran into an enemy called a Hallowed Ogre, which promptly employed the use of eyebeams to beat the stuffing out of me several times. I killed a total of about 400-500 Hive while I was in the mission, which finally assured me of one fact: Thrall swarms are really scary.   -

*Sigh*... Ask Me Anything

Go ahead. I'll answer your inane questions about farm animals, 2x2 bricks and green eggs and ham. But I won't like it. (At least, I'll pretend not to for lackluster comedic effect)   -
