Strange Encounters While Running

Nukaya

I was running on campus just a few days ago in the pouring rain when some kid jumped out of a bus stop and yelled "WAIIIIIT!"

Normally, I would have just run by, but he had a determined look on his face. I slowed down and he continued, "How would YOU like... a free donut??"

His friend pops out of nowhere holding a box of dunkin donuts like it was a briefcase loaded with cash. I told him sure and he gave his friend the nod. He opens the box and tells me take one, any one. Even though I was nearing the end of a 7 mile run I sprung for a chocolate glazed, vanilla frosted, maple syrup donut with sprinkles. So I run the last mile back to my dorm in the pouring rain with my mp3 player in my left hand and this vile creation of a donut in my right. Must have been quite the site!

I wish things like this happened to me during runs.

Ehh, I dunno. I'm always wary about random strangers giving out free food. I've heard too many horror stories.

Being a college student and given the tiny size of my town, if someone was handing out free food I'd probably take it, unless it was from say, a sketchy van or something.

REPLY: Being a college student is the reason I wouldn't take free food from strangers. You never know what someone put in it. (Although it might be hard to tamper with donuts in a discreet way.)

But I'm in an area where this is more likely to be an issue, so there lies the difference.

It would appear that I now know a good way to poison random passerbiers.

hahaha, no, j/k

But if someone offered me free food for no reason, I'd be like "O.o no thank you..." :P

Yeah, unfortunately doing that would probably mean the person's teammates would come and take you down if you weren't arrested by the police first....

That is quite the neat story.

And something that would be fun to do to someone...

New BrickFair objective.

Heehee.

I've realized that we have had so many "We should totally do _____ during BrickFair!" plans, but they rarely end up happening.

Whatever. We are totally doing the "dye Rene's hair at BrickFair" plan this year that we couldn't do last time.

And that story is really cool. I wish awesome and random things like that happened at any frequency to me.

Well, it's not like all forms of poison take effect immediately. :P

I think I'm more concerned that you're apparently considering what poisons to kill people with. Not very funny.

We did, and I agree that we didn't do many/any of them unfortunately. And we had plenty of time too...

Oh, the shenanigans we can pull on all the more-serious AFOLs there.

I'm all for this as long as your mom doesn't kill us!

You know, one thing that always annoys me is when people take me seriously after I clearly imply that i am joking.

Granted, I may have gone a tad far in the second post, and I apologize for that, but in my first comment, I clearly stated that I was joking, both with emoticon usage and words - stating quite clearly that I was joking.

Yeah, I know this is the internet, and etc, but it still annoys me when people can't take a joke.

With this, I might as well take my leave. >.<

*doughnut.

I'm gonna do this sometime. It sounds like a fun way to spread the love around.

Lol, I almost almost edited that word's spelling as well, but I figured I should leave it as the original poster had typed it.

She may care, but as soon as I say "My crazy Lego friends did it to me," she will shrug and dismiss it. Guaranteed. :P
