My parents decided to go with the Cash for Clunkers program and get rid of our old red Volvo station wagon from 1990 and use the money to buy a shiny 2009 light blue VW. My mom dragged my brother and I out of the house and we did a quick spin around the neighborhood in it, which was really nice, even thought it was like 10.30 at night. Super smooth driving and such. Unfortunately, it now means I have to learn how to drive stick, so blah for that aspect of it.
ALSO: My mom wants to get a custom license plate. Any ideas? We have to decide by today. As we're in Oregon, we can have up to six letters on the plate, but she's thinking of a name related to the colour blue. We've thought of things like azure, river, lazuli, ocean, (libelle, perhaps? It means dragonfly in German. We have to get rid of the third L, though) things like that (I suggested "LEGO" but she just said "Ha, no"). So, names that are sort of naturey, or related to VWs would be good ones.
