My final for Drawing II was to create an image with deep space and a figure, and wow, I think the Chris Van Allsburg influence really showed in this one. I kind of want to start doing more drawings (or maybe even paintings) based off of one sentence that would also serve as the title, like in his book The Mysteries of Harris Burdick. The problem is making up creative single sentences that could give me enough to work with (because the one I made up for this one isn't that great in my opinion....)
I'm considering submitting this one our school's art publication OregonEast, and to the student show at the end year. I'm thinking about submitting some of my paintings as well, but I'm not sure which. Out of all the art that I've made in the past school year, only this drawing and this painting feel truly finished in both a visual and emotional sense.
And, OH MY GOSH. Pandora Radio: Disney station. Why was it not in my life before this. I think my premier membership may be about to run out in the next few days, so I need to find that one page that has the info about where to send money or get a paypal account (plus, I'll need it to pay for BrickFair anyway....).
Oh! And don't forget: Pimp my Blog 2 is still in full swing. The entries so far are pretty darn neat, and I figure I may as well continue to promote this here because I don't think anyone actually remembers me going on the last BZPowercast to talk about the contest. It was a tad....overshadowed by much more fantastical things, but that's ok.
(and 118 days until BrickFair!!!)
