Latin Est Malus.

First things first. Latin is the worst subject ever.

Yeah, I know how much you guys know I hate stuff. But Latin is at the bottom of the food chain. There is nothing that I can despise more than Latin.

Yet honestly, I can't say it's truly at the bottom of the food chain. It's actually quite useful in some instances. That, and the fact it sounds awesome when you speak it. In fact, I am quite fond of it.

But then why the hate? The fact that I can get and often am ground for it. Although I am fond of it, I absolutely stink at it. And when test time rolls around, it shows. However, my mom doesn't like failing grades. She tries to up my grades by a little bit of 'gentle' persuasion. And by gentle persuasion, I mean groundings. If I'm going to get grounded for anything, it's most likely going to be from Latin.

Now then, I get tests roughly every month. If I fail a test, I'm grounded until the next one and only if I pass am I ungrounded.

And as you might have guessed, I have a Latin test coming up. Thursday in fact. So if I fail my Latin test, I'm gone for another month. Good news is, I'm going to bring down the HAMMER on the test on Thursday and finally put Latin back in it's place.

But just in the off chance that the test snatches my hammer and brings it back down on me, I'm just letting you guys know in case I suddenly disapear for a month.

I'd have to disagree. Latina est bona. Non any lingui sunt better. It is handy for spelling english words derived from it.

(I'd have to disagree. Latin is good. Not any languanges are better.) Excuse the disorder of word order.

Nonne iocaris? Mihi studiae linguae latinae deliciae sunt! Optimum diei tempus illud est! :o

Although I can certainly understand your sentiment. And Latin is totally an awesome language, but whether the class compares is a different matter. Hope you do well on the test!

Aw, come on, you did that on purpose just for me, I swear.

First two, no danged idea. I assume it's some kind of idiom or expression?

Uh... "to me the study of the latin language..." no... it's plural. "To me studies of the Latin language are..." okay, deliciae must mean something positive, like enjoyable, or something. Uh, "the best... time..." oh! "It is the best time of day," right? So it wouldn't be studies, it'd be more like, Latin class, translated in a better way.

OH! I see, nonne is non + ne, so it's probably "you do not like?" or something, right?

Anyway, I'm not so fluent as ToM (>.>) as to give you a whole several sentences in Latin but I do say it's a great language. I mean, imagine a Roman trying to learn English: Where the heck are the rules? I mean, what rules do we follow in English without exception? It's got to be the weirdest ever language.

Latin has rules and very few exceptions, and almost all exceptions have some kind of reason.

So really it's not so bad, you just have to know the words.

If the ancients figured it out, you can too!

=D

We have faith in you!

Okay that one I can try.

...

What's faith?

Dative of tu is tibi, right?

Ergh, forget it... something fidi tibi habemus whatever... ><
