The total for my birthday Bricklink splurge came to $113.36, including shipping.

 

That's..... actually less than I spent to build the Micro Manager. Guess I didn't actually splurge any more than I usually do. :P

 

Got some good pieces, though, including a bunch of Technic beams and such in assorted colors, which will lower my dependence on black or grey versions of them, thus allowing me to be more colorful.

 

I also got a bunch of tan, so maybe I can attempt my Gundam in true Buster Gundam colors like Makaru wanted.

That is a hefty bricklink order, but if you buy from decent sellers, it should be a good deal.  That must be loooots of bricks.  My bricklink purchases:  "I need a face and a hairpiece in order to get a Mako minifig made...  okay, this shop has a decent price for what I need, but the base sale is ten bucks...  let's see...  ooh, these bone pieces are 10¢ each!   Let's get 100 of those...  um...  how about some skulls to go with that...  aaaand...  um...  hmm..."  after another hour of browsing, Tekulo decides to view his cart of interests and get the price down closer to $20 instead of the original $10 he was shooting for.  

 

I have lots of bone bricks now...  =|
