Moving On

Inferna Firesword

At this point, I think my Ebay gambit is a lost cause. Not a single bid, so I'm a bit disappointed. However, I've got another chance at BrickCon, so I might find a buyer there.

Anyway. Moving on from that little disaster, I'm thinking about starting to take commissons once the next semester starts at the end of January. I'd probably only take two at a time, since they take a while to make, but it'd be less hit-and-miss than Ebay would be. I could do Bohrak shield/Nuparu claw rings, and I'm thinking of starting glass pendants of various weapons, like Tahu's firesword or Lewa's air katana.

If this sounds good, lemme know. In the meantime, I leave you with an idea of a possible non-Bionicle jewelry project: the metal dragon symbol picture that was on the cover of the latest Game Informer. (I'd link to it, but I can't find anything decent ...)

If you could somehow make the Nuva symbols with glass... you'd need to fill in the hollow places though. Somehow do the symbol and color the areas that would be hollow?

This, my friend, is why I hang around with you. Somehow I always get awesome ideas from you. :P

Glass Nuva symbols.

I thought so, but I needed to check. :P

Anyway, how much they would cost depends on how much time, effort, and material it takes. Glass probably wouldn't be as much as metal, but that's a lot of work going into making molds for them.

For some reason, Waiting for the end started to play in our head when we first saw the title.

we are wondering how much a bronze noble Matatu would cost.

I'd be interested in these glass Nuva symbols as well, to be honest XD

Who's "we"?

(Also I don't have a Noble Matatu; you'd need to send that to me on the condition that you won't be getting the plastic version back.)

How much do you think a keratz ring would cost, by any chance? I'd image getting the iron-quartz to properly mix would be problematic, and quartz doesn't melt easy to begin with.

If it's as hard as you say, way out of your price range. :P

We are the Zarnalo.

Bleh, I gave up referring to myself in third person a while ago, anyways.

Yeah, I could do that. I have several spares.

Alright then. Once I clear things with my parents (and decide how much these commissons should cost), I'll send my shipping info so we can get this rolling. =D

Well, it's not so much getting the quartz and iron to mix as much as it is you'll need to heat the stuff to around 1700 C. Iron's melting point is about 1600 C, quartz's is about 1700 C.
