Minecraft Question(Sorta not really BZPc Related)

Posted by ~Mat~ , in BZPower, Tech Jan 15 2014 · 204 views

Does anybody really know of any good/decent and cheap server provider that has a reliable track record? I want to resolve the BZPc server host issues, and have my own personal 24/7 server, but I dont even know where to start looking. lol

Oh hey I do have an answer lol

Not sure what's considered cheap but there's this: http://www.beastnode.com/ and if you use the promo code "octc" you get 15% off for life.

I'm not sure if you've looked at Creeperhost but I think it's relatively "cheap;" a two gig of RAM server will run you $20/m, and due to excellent internet and being a dedicated server, that will be plenty fine for ten-fifteen players. I've even seen 20 players play on a 2gig server and still play fine. A 3gig server is also available for $26/m.

Creeperhost is a reliable host though, and it's partnered with the FtB team. They've got a fine track record from everything I've seen, all the servers I've played on that were hosted by them ran smoothly, and the folks behind it are on the up and up.

I do recommend it over Beastnode, as while the folks there are reputable, Creeperhost is also cheaper at the mid-tiers. A 3gig server there (Beastnode), for instance, costs $36/m, compared to the $26/m Creeperhost server.
