I still find Articuno the to be my favorite of the ice-type Pokemon. Of course, he isn't necessarily a pure ice-type, since he's also part flying-type. That long flowy tail, however, just got me to fall in love.

My favorite Ice-type has got to be Aurorus. It's so cute. I ended up using one of those in Y despite full-well knowing that its apalling defensive typing would make it a burden, but for the most part it's held its own quite well, being strong enough to win a lot of battles before it can be taken down. It's a shame that it doesn't get a lot of use out of its ability, since its actual Ice-type moves serve me well enough that I don't need to replace them with Normal-type moves.

This is the second time a fossil Pokémon has won me over despite obvious drawbacks, after Archeops in Black Version.

 

The only other Ice-type I've used in recent memory was Weavile in Pearl, and while it was an awesome member of my team, Aurorus wins hands-down for sheer awesomeness.
