You could always say "I don't care for sports" or even "I think sports suck" but just stating they suck is incorrect.

The fact that I alone said it, which means that it's my own personal belief, IE my opinion, should be enough. I shouldn't have to add "IMO" to every little statement that somebody is bound to disagree with.
