Wow, I'm surprised it was that awful for you. I loved the episode and the songs. Very different from many previous episodes, but it felt like a very well-executed capstone to the series so far.

Meh. I guess maybe I was expecting a lot more from it. It would have been better if there weren't so many songs..
Lyi points out you also said "worse than the Season 1 finale" so I guess you and I have different taste in episodes. The Season 1 finale was one of my favorite episodes in the season, and I always feel that the best introduction to the series if I have a captive audience is episodes 1-3, "Suited for Success", and "The Best Night Ever"-- in other words, the introduction to the series plus the whole Grand Galloping Gala story arc. If I could cut any episodes out of that, it'd be episodes 1 and 2, because they are fairly weak compared to later episodes. However, they are also a quite solid introduction to the characters.

I loved the season finale to bits. :)
Me too, and I already have more bits than I need. I wish I could have loved it to gems. Or even magic shards.
