Tonight's Closing Thoughts #638

Posted by Bambi , Aug 21 2013 · 129 views

Just thinking of some specs for a future computer I'd like to make:
Power supply: Cooler Master Silent Pro M 100w
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB
CD drive: Asus DVD reader/writer
Hard drive: Western Digital 1 TB drive
CPU: Intel i5-3570K @3.4 GHz
Sound card: Creative Sound Blaster ZX SBX
Motherboard: Z77A-G45 (gaming edition)
GUP: Radeon HD 7970 with 3GB GDDR5 memory
Case: NZXT Guardian 921 RB (blue)
Should only cost about.. $1275. Not to mention other stuff like a new mouse, speakers, monitor, headset, and whatnot. Posted Image

My comp is using an Nvidia GeForce GTX 560, which, from a quick Google comparison, costs half as much as the Radeon you mentioned, and I can run pretty much everything at max settings. Crysis 3 apparently needs a 660 (Or something around there =P) for max settings, but eh. =P

Also, I run an MC server and can still play MC with a 256x texture pack and far render distance, or any other game, on 8 GB of RAM. You probably won't even need 8, unless you get a non-Hamachi MC server running.

TB hard drive... I don't know, that just depends on how many large things you download. =P

And, whatever you do, when it comes to Windows, 7>8
