The Lonely Barricades

War Zone

Posted by Zarayna , in RPGs Nov 20 2012 · 154 views

So, a lot of you probably remember War Zone.

Well, coming this December, I present,

In short 'War Zone 2'. It will have a very similar theme of disorder, but the backstory will be much different, and it will be a lot less sandbox. No, players cannot control a forum, seeing as about half will be anarchist wastelands and the rest will be already controlled by the remains of the staff.

Anyone interested in this? I'm looking for people willing to either help me write it, or help me GM it, or both. (As the case in last RPG Contest, I do not want to be head GM, just because of past experience).

The Final Poll

Oh, hey, I just realized that Testing Conflict is in fifth place. If it gets five votes before TPTI or Lev get one, I'll get third place. Not that that's going to happen really, though.

Oh, and Hunted is in second by two votes... Wonder if it'll stay like that?

Yeah, Testing Conflict and Hunted are pretty much the only RPGs I'm interested in playing this time around.

Mayhaps a recap

So anyways, haven't posted on here in a bit, so I figured I might as well ramble a bit.

Working on an RPG with Krayzikk for the upcoming RPG contest, and it's going quite well. It should be interesting seeing the competition as the deadline gets closer.

As to real life, I'm currently feeling pretty jubilant, despite the fact that my sister is moving back in next week; after her stormy exit, I am not looking forwards to having her in the same house again. But anyways, I just discovered today that an impediment I thought I had towards entering seminary isn't one, so I'm pretty happy! Gnawing worry about that sort of thing is not fun at all.

Looking forwards to seeing Kingdom of Heaven once I get it via interlibrary loan. The fact that it's in the crusades and is supposed to present a fairly good picture of it alone makes me look forwards to seeing it.

Also, is anyone else doing Nanowrimo? I'm already making an outline of the story I'm writing for it.

Blowing the dust off...

Man, I have not used this blog in a while.

Anyways, working on an RPG for the contest. Krayzikk is going to be head Gm, for which I am most thankful. However, I am looking for a few assistant GMs right now. the RPG draft can be found here. If you're interested, please let me know.

IS this bad or just my imagination.

500 MB RAM. Is that bad or what?

On a brighter note, we actually got decent internet; it's such a strange thing having 150 kb/s internet speed. So now I downloaded Mount&Blade: With Fire and Sword. Unfortunately, it takes forever on this computer. I hope to try it on our laptop.

And... SftS. It's kinda going to need some work; namely, people. There's no way I can continue running it quite so singlehandedly. Some of you might have seen the announcement on the first page of the discussion topic. When I say I need people for help running the story, I don't mean want, I mean need.

Did you see them going off to fight?
Children of the barricade that didn't last the night.
They were schoolboys, never held a gun,
Fighting for a new world that would rise up like the sun.
Where's that new world now the fighting's done?
