After several months without hearing it, the epicness of The Art of Breaking knocked me flat.

Must have more...

I've never heard any of Thousand Foot Krutch's music. What genre(s) is it?

Eww? :o

They have a couple decent songs, but in my opinion they're just a bit.. boring. And kind of generic. Like, they play basic radio rock/nu-metal (depending on the album) and don't really bring anything new or exciting to the table.

Art of Breaking was really good, but Phenomenon was worse, and Welcome to the Masquerade was weak depth wise...

I've heard the first and last of those, actually own Welcome to the Masquerade. Art of Breaking probably had the highest amount of decent songs on it, but overall, it was just that - decent. Kind of.. average.

They certainly won't make it to my favorite five artists, but they're excellent background music, at least for me.

Besides, they bring back a ton of fond memories for me.

Understandable, on both counts. I'm the same way with Red and Demon Hunter, so yeah.

I think I listened to a Demon Hunter song that had screaming in it, and never touched it again. :P

Harsh vocals in music are definitely an acquired taste, and not an easy one at that. You may like their song My Heartstrings Come Undone, though, since it's entirely normal singing throughout if I recall.

I just finished listening to The Art of Breaking online. It's decent, but I agree with LM that it sounds kind of generic altogether.

Did you see them going off to fight?
Children of the barricade that didn't last the night.
They were schoolboys, never held a gun,
Fighting for a new world that would rise up like the sun.
Where's that new world now the fighting's done?
