I feel the same way. Take Danger Close for example: Have it almost finished, have a clear idea in my mind of how it's going to end, and yet I don't feel like finishing it. No motivation to write it, probably because the review topic is dead. =/

It's not like I have a clear idea, but it's like I've literally written every word in the story in my head.

No kidding. I have like two dozen story outlines and I've only started on like three of them.

 

This pretty much happens to me on a daily basis. However I think I'm on the verge of writing something down. Has this happened to you before?

Usually I get the following:

 

1) snatch of a story, a line, dialogue, or a scene.

2) A basic concept.

 

This is the first time I've written about 50% of a story in my head, and have the outline for the rest.

Oh, man, I know how you feel. It's also embarassing to say that I'm writing a story or refer to my writings, only to admit that most of it's in my head.
