Happy Birthday Metroid!

This day (or tomorrow maybe?) Was when my favorite video game franchise launched. I wouldn't discover it until after the launch of Zero Mission. Which is still my favorite in the series.

I'm going to go celebrate by attempting to beat Prime.

I don't prefer the Metroid franchise, mostly for a lack of interest in the series, but it's nice to see it's still going strong.

By whose definition? the last game we got launched in 2007. (We don't talk about the other one...) We've barely heard a wimper from Nintendo about the franchise, even though there's a new game launch just around the corner.

The Metroid series is my favorite video game series out there. I'm glad to see it still around after 30 years. I really hope Nintendo gives us another entry in the series staring Samus. Its sad that we didn't get one for this occasion, but there's still hope for such a game to released in the future.

Until then, I look forward to seeing what Federation Force brings to the series.

It's a well known fact that Nintendo hates both its fans and making money, so I don't expect Metroid to ever be continued for real.

By the definition of its name still being recognizable by pretty much anyone in the gaming community, or even those who have only heard of video games.

I would compare it to something like Crash Bandicoot, which is dead and done for at this point.

Even that emoticon is mad at your sarcasm.
