Fireworks Blew Up In My Face

To Disney, Day 3: Fireworks blew up in my face.

So I went to Epcot today, and it was pretty cool. Another quick one since I want to sleep, but I will mention that I’m a little creeped out because my brother and both of my parents are staring at my screen. Anyway.

  • I almost went to the Italian Pavilion for lunch, but I decided it was too expensive so I decided to go get a cheap-ish hotdog somewhere else instead.
  • I have a Disney Credit Card and I’m scared I’m gonna lose it or spend too much money. Mostly that I’m gonna lose it.
  • Almost went to the Japanese Pavilion for dinner (oh please no) but then it was full of reservations (huzzah) so I got chicken fingers instead from the worst place on Earth. The server kept trying to force out stuff onto some other guy, despite us telling her it was ours and the poor guy trying to refuse it.
  • Epcot’s lack of any real rides whatsoever disturbed me, and I was bored for the majority of the day. The sum of thrills or whatever was pretty kickin’, but I’m very worried about Hollywood and the Animal Kingdom. If I have to do anything but Magic Kingdom on the day we repeat a park...
  • Almost rode the monorail tonight, but missed a train so we’ll do that tomorrow.
  • Also almost got a picture with Donald Duck, but my parents told me to wait until tomorrow. >=(
  • I BETTER GET MY PICTURE WITH DONALD DUCK TOMORROW OR I WILL EXPLODE, I PROMISE YOU!!!!
  • The fireworks were awesome, and they set a pirate ship on fire.

Oh I can remember parading in Epcot like it was just yesterday... Gooood times.

Did you at least ride Mission: Space? I got such a weird kick out of riding that knowing somebody had died on it. :3

:kaukau: Epcot is possibly my favorite park (though it's in a close tie with Hollywood Studios). I like touring the world and enjoying the atmospheres, since by now I've sort of stopped caring about rides. It's the experience that I go for now. If you go again, make sure you pay extra attention to souvenirs. I swear, it's the best place to get some snazzy stuff. I still regret not getting a beret last time I went.

Maybe next time I go, which is this summer, I'll try eating at Italy, though my mother went through the trouble of reserving dinners, so I think we're probably in for some Scandinavian restaurants. I'll make sure I run up and down the steps in Japan, though, just because I love those giant steps.

By the way, YOU'D BETTER GET YOUR PICTURE WITH DONALD DUCK TOMORROW!

Yeah, as I stated before, Epcot is way better than Animal Kingdom, but there's not too much in Epcot either (although Epcot is relaxing, and beautiful, and has some cool rides there too). Animal Kingdom...well, it's not that bad, you just get really hot and bored fast.

Did you go on Soarin', Test Track, Mission: Space, Spaceship: Earth, and all the countries? What did you think of "Canada"?

And are you staying at a resort?

Good luck with Donald Duck (that was a really awesome rhyme right there)!

Test Track is the one awesome ride at Epcot, as well as Journey Into The Imagination. I recall last time I went to Disney (last year; I hadn't been 8-9 years previous to that) I went to Epcot once, or twice, can't recall. Universe of Energy (if that is it, I can't remember the name) was pretty good, also liked aforementioned rides.

I never ate at any of the restaurants there, although picked up pastries from the bakery in France. I preferred the Main Street Bakery, though, although it was still good food.

Test Track is currently closed until Fall 2012, so I missed it. I did do Mission: Space - it was pretty good. I did do Canada and... it was alright, I guess. Everybody always makes Canada out to be culturally 100% native though, and in terms of the build design Epcot was no different.
