the thing is this Palutena looks different from her appearance in Brawl or Uprising, meaning that the supposed hoaxer must have have to make a new design for her, and one that looks very legitimate at that. also, look at the different jewels on her belt - one looks like a Starman from Mario(you can clearly see the eyes on it). that is either a very thorough hoaxer when it comes to small details, or it's a cool little easter egg from the design team. the fact that she's seen from two different angles and positions adds to the credibility as well.

 

i'm of the mind that it's real, and that if it is Palutena is probably going to be a playable character because of the way she's standing on the battlefield beside Mario. if she was an Assist Trophy she probably wouldn't just be standing around doing nothing. i am interested in how they took the pictures, though(assuming they are real), considering Nintendo is usually super-tight when it comes to leaks, especially something as potentially big as this.

Hm... that's rather intriuging... It's hard to tell much from the pictures though. I don't think it's photoshop though, unless someone has enough tine to photoshop her into not one, but two pictures. Plus I don't think the palutena shown here looks exactly like the one in the 3DS or Wii. But again, that's just what I've seen on other sites, so I'm likely wrong.

I'm fairly certain that I might be wrong, but I can't help but vehemently disagree with her being a part of the cast. I need to turn people into Eggplants with my final smash D=

As he's sort of a generic enemy type. But I'm certainly not going to complain if this is legit. And it makes sense, as she's the "princess" of that game, like Peach or Zelda. So as a second charecter from that game I can't see why they'd choose anyone else. Now we just need a new game.

My vote goes for Assist trophy.

Us Kid Icarus fans would prefer Magnus as a playable character, honestly. He'd be a good heavyweight replacement for Ike, who is certainly not returning.
