i'm playing the demo right now

Demo. I love the gameplay, and I will complete it to get the benefits before actually purchasing the game.

I think the benefits can be earned during the game too; the demo just gets you them early.

if the demo is anything to go by, the main game is going to be...difficult, to say the least.

THE GRINDING

 

TWELVE HOURS IN AND I'M NOT EVEN HALFWAY DONE.

Perhaps I shall give the demo another whirl tomorrow evening, then.

Finiiiiish it. There are so many sets for completing certain objectives, like completely rebuilding Norende.

 

Oh, and there's a glitch in the demo that should help you in the main game. After you defeat the Melusine boss, you can go to a man in the town who will send a villager over. Then you go to the merchant and select 'Go back to menu'. Everything from before the last save will be lost, but not the villager. Then you talk to him again, and he sends over another villager. Repeat this over an over until you get 20 villagers, the maximum amount you can transfer from the demo.

Nineteen hours in, need more time to play it, having some real good fun with it.

I've played the demo, and it's decent so far, but I'm not sure about getting it. I have too many games I currently need to play more (Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, Pokémon) as well as too many games I'm missing in series I'm already invested in (the new Professor Layton, last year's Mario & Luigi) to feel comfortable jumping into a brand new JRPG series.
