And so we enter the second round! Last round was stuffed full to the brim with decimations; in fact, the only two matchups that were even close were Agnes Oblige vs. Robin and Lucas vs. Professor Layton; while Professor Layton managed to win by a still-solid three votes at the last second, Agnes Oblige emerged victorious only after her matchup was tied at the last second, forcing a tiebreaker.
The matchups this round are interesting; both Luigi and Samus have won a prior tournament, and while Luigi missed out on the first "Best Ever", Samus has never fallen earlier than the third round (although she did fall to Luigi, no less). Of course, as the two winners that came the closest to losing last round, Agnes Oblige and Professor Layton shall be interesting to watch as they go head-to-head. Over on the villains side of the charts, GLaDOS is the sole remaining non-Nintendo villain, taking on Best Ever 2's runner up Hades. Another villain to watch is Fawful, who is one of the few characters to be included in all three "Best Ever" tournaments, and yet has advanced beyond the first round for the first time ever.
As always, a picture bracket (click for bigger) and a text bracket.
