To be frank, I'd wait for both... It seems like both games are currently at the point where they don't have alot of content readily available, but will be made available soonish, so yeah waiting would probably be best.

Also, I feel like splatoon is at least a bit overpriced.

Splatoon is pretty fun. A bit light on content but still fun.

Splatoon is about $70 in Canada, yeah. 

 

From what I've seen, it's worth $30.
