Stupid Public Education System

Posted by farmstink buttlass , Jul 25 2012 · 72 views

I had to stay in line for two hours after school to try to correct an error the school made on my schedule for this year, and ended up being told they couldn't fix it because apparently the school district marked me as having failed a thing that exempted me from taking PE again. Which I passed. And now I have to wait until who knows how long for that to be corrected, by which time classes will probably be well underway.

*rage*

Procrastination is Awesome

life, vacations so short
No it isn't, procrastination sucks and I hate the fact that I always end up doing things at the last minute.

That said, there's something very satisfying about completing a ridiculous (ree-dee-coo-luth) amount of work the day before school starts. Doing it in bits throughout summer break wouldn't yield the same amount of dedication. Plus, I end up doing more than I'm expected even when procrastinating, so I guess it didn't turn out that bad? Yeah.

aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh

So I made that entry last night about how our epic wasn't really going anywhere. Now it is. My team managed to throw the Epic headfirst into a climax through some very rushed plot choices (I claim blame), but I guess it's better than no climax. I definitely look forward to how the end will be handled.

lso
So the Epics portion of the LSO is almost over now. It's been a fun experience so far. Working with others in this fashion can be simultaneously frustrating and amazingly entertaining.

That said, neither of the teams I'm on are anywhere close to finishing, and I'd like to note that both of the teams I'm on have the greatest amount of chapters. COT Team 2 currently has 16 chapters (the most of all six LSO epics, and considerably more than the other COT story, which was pretty good and apparently ended with 8 chapters.) That one feels like it could be reaching a climax, but I doubt that's going to happen too soon. The Epics Team 2 story has 14 chapters, which is only a little bit more than the others. That one doesn't even seem to be halfway through, though. At the rate we're going it'd probably take at least a month to get to a finish.

I'm not complaining about any of that. I'm more or less happy with everything we have so far (on both teams), and I think the stories are proceeding at the rate they should, and this isn't something any individual person has any control over. It is just something to note.
