Catching Fire

Posted by dotcom , Nov 26 2013 · 73 views

Catching Fire is my least favorite book of the Hunger Games trilogy. I didn't dislike it at all, I just didn't like it nearly as much as the others. This will probably prove true for the movies as well, but! That was a great movie. Just. It was a really good movie, guys. Like in the last one, adding scenes of things that were happening outside the arena really added a lot, and the stuff that did happen in the arena was all good and accurate. (as far I could remember, which to be fair wasn't much)

One of the things I was looking forward to most in this movie was the arena. Catching Fire might not have been the best book in the series, but it certainly had the better, more interesting arena. The movie really didn't disappoint. Again. Really cool movie.

I think my main complaint is that after all the buildup the time at the arena felt a bit short. I think that's one of the issues I had with the book too. I dunno. It was still good.

Also, I just noticed I didn't notice any shaky cam. Huh. That's...that's pretty cool too.
