Translucent Purple pieces are absolutely beautiful.

We need more of them. They're not ugly like translucent orange (seriously, does translucent orange go with anything? It's such a ugly translucent colour.), they're not overused like translucent neon green, and they're not translucent green. They're also not translucent blue which is kinda meh.

Although I do think translucent pieces are starting to lose their novelty, so we'll probably stop seeing them for a while. Not to mention, aren't translucent bone pieces weaker than regular ones due to being a different plastic or something?

On the subject of pieces breaking: CCBS friction extenders break way too easily. They're easily the CCBS that breaks the quickest and the most easily in my experience. Which kinda reminds of the 2010 pieces, they felt strong but it was negated by how quickly they broke. Even if you didn't do anything with them. Wow, that also made me realise: considering CCBS was only three years away or so, the new 2008 molds were a really bad idea due to how easily they broke compared to the pieces immediately before them.

(what if 2015 is a trick and all the Toa being heroes is a misdirection? Instead something bad happens and the Protectors must become the heroes they believed the Toa to have been.)

I'm not terribly fond of Tr. Bright Bluish Violet (Trans-Purple). It's a cool color, but so far the BIONICLE sets that have used it have not used it terribly well. On Onua, there's barely any of it and it's barely noticeable. On the limbs and mask of Protector of Earth, its color barely shows up clearly except when backlit. I have him lying down in front of me right now, and his body and limbs look almost entirely black, which isn't a very flattering look at all.

Perhaps on a more brightly-colored model those parts would look a lot better. But I strongly disagree with anybody who thinks it could make a good eye color. The Tr. Green used for the original Onua was already duller than it had any right to be, considering every other Toa back then had brightly-colored fluorescent eyes.

I have never had a CCBS friction joint break. Did they just break from regular assembly or disassembly? Because that's extremely weird. There's no reason I can think of why they should do that. I've used them in plenty of MOCs with no trouble.

That's why I like it, it blends nicely with black when not lit and lights up very nicely when not lit, something many other translucent colours don't do with colours they're paired with, like translucent orange which just stands out no matter what colours you pair with it.

They friction extenders broke after not being used - they were only two years old (from Furno XL).

Why in the world don't they use the trans-orange used in Jaller Inika instead of the disgusting trans-orange they used now (and before, and probably will continue to use into eternity)? It's sooo much nicer :/
