In my humble opinion, Brisingr, the third book of the Inheritence Cycle by Christopher Paolini, is the best yet in the series. I've heard criticisms that the book was far too long-winded and that all of its first part was nothing but filler; having read through the entire novel, I have to disagree. The "filler" was necessary, lest Christopher Paolini end up with a rushed book that would not have been nearly as satisfying. With all the descriptions, I found myself that much more connected with the characters; I not only saw how they reacted in action sequences, but how they dealt with the politics behind the war.
I applaud Christopher Paolini's third effort in the Inheritence Cycle, and I can't wait to attain the fourth book, Inheritence.
