Never from a loss of power, but I've lost some great posts by accidentally going a page back in the browser. I don't even know how I accidentally do that, but it happens.

What would be even worse would be typing up a huge post in the old days, forgetting to copy it to the clipboard, and trying to preview the post only to get a board message.

This happens to me on occasion when writing blog entries. I just have to swallow my frustration and start over. 

 

Actually my computer is immune from power loss; it's a laptop and has batteries. I have to be careful to save the text though, because my router doesn't.

This happens to me sometimes as well. Usually it's from accidentally clicking outside the text field and hitting the backspace button. It can be avoided by always opening a new tab to type a big post or blog entry.
