Graphics Tablet?

Posted by Aderia , Dec 13 2010 · 166 views

Okay, so I was talking to one of my friends in my art class, and she mentioned her graphics tablet.
And, what I got, was that it was almost like drawing a picture onto a mouse pad, and having it on your computer, except better than I explained it.
I was thinking that would be pretty useful, and was thinking seeing if santa had any up in the North Pole ;D
Now, I'm not the most techno-savvy person out there, and am wondering if they're worth having, and all those other nitty gritty details, like what types of computers they're compatable with, and if you need any other hard/software to make it run etc. etc.

If you're drawing/painting/modeling stuff digital for the rest of your life, then yeah. Phtoshop has a "pen pressure" function that synergies well with a tablet's pressure details.

Also, if you're have carpel tunnel syndrome, it's also recommended to switch between tablet and mouse.

The Wacom (pricey, but durable) brands are compatible with both Macs and PCs. It's an input device, so you don't need to install any programs, just the drivers. I'm using a tablet right now to navigate this website. :]
