I'm liking all these Library-esque blog entries I'm seeing Looks like the shelves of BZP will be the place to be this summer. I'll accept your challenge, it'll be good for me. But is there a time constraint I should know about?

It will help the library indeed. Time constraints: the challenge/contest will end August 23th 2012 at 11:59:59 pm. The challenge will begin Wednesday May 23th 2012. Three months to write a story and then mind screw us with the ending.

W-Wow. Three months. I was gonna get on with this right away, but I see that that's not so necessary now.

@Grimoire Albastru Hey three months can go by pretty fast so just don't slack off . Look forward to seeing what you guys come up with Good luck!

I think that the three-month time limit might actually discourage entry, as people will procrastinate and possibly forget. I remember that bonesiii had a similar issue when he gave a deadline that was too far away for some other recent contest.

Just to be clear, we have a minimum word count, but what about a maximum? Looking at what I have planned, this is looking to be a not-so-short story.

Good question, I'm thinking max would be maybe about 1,500 words.

My sensible plots make little to no sense in the first place, so I can only imagine what will happen when I enter this. But it will be fun.
