A Question

I've been really curious about this recently, but is there any limit to how many stories you can post in the SS forum? This has been bugging me lately, because I've been wanting to re-post stories and wasn't sure how many I could post in one day. I'm not sure if it's anything like the Epics forum with chapters, although I'd think not. Either way, anybody have an answer to this question? =/

There isn't a limit. So go ahead and post away!

Btw, were you talking about the limit for how many chapters you can post in a day, or how long your epic can be?

As OmiShad said above, there is no limit on how many short stories you can post in a day, however you should keep in mind that you can only re-post short stories that have only been around for a month or less before the downtime as per the rules here.

Also you only need to wait twelve hours between posting chapters for epics, not a full twenty-four hours (Reference: Number Five in the Epics Rules and Guidelines topic.) .

I am pretty sure she is referring to the limit on how many chapters you can post for an epic in a day since there is no rules limiting the length of chapters or the epic itself anywhere in the Epics Rules and Guidelines topic (Which once again, the limit of chapter posting just says you have to wait twelve hours after you post the first chapter before you can post the next one, not twenty-four hours.).

Thanks both of you guys for the clearing up. However, that would mean I couldn't repost old stories from a few months ago, then? That confuses me. I want to repost my first epic and the one I was working on, not to forget my poems/other stories I had up. That was just about everything I had up, so I can only post new stories? =| If somebody could elaborate more on that, that would be nice. =J

If they are short stories that were published on old BZP forums before the month of March this year, then yeah, unfortunately you can not re-post them here, according to the rules here. If they were published in March or April before the forums went down though, you can re-published them back on the forums.

With epics though, it is little different with you being allow to republish any work that was still in progress on the old BZP forums with all its chapters that you posted on those forums (According to the topic, you can ignore one chapter per twelve hours rule when doing this, so you would be alright posting all the previous chapters.*).

As for finished epics, Hahli Husky is still waiting on hearing from Black Six, so you must restrain yourself from posting anything until they update this topic. I would suggest PMing Hahli Husky about finished epics, if you have any, as she might of just forgot to update the topic with information from Black Six.

Although considering the reposting Short Story information in the other topic, my guess is that unless your work has finish up in March or April, you can not repost it on the new forums unfortunately. But yeah, that's all the elaboration I can provide for you, so you might want to try PMing Hahli Husky, if you need more than that. I hope that helps.

*If you are reposting chapters for an in-progress epic, remember to wait a few minutes or so before you post the next chapter because your posts could end of fusing, if you post one after the another.

Thanks, JMJ. That's not going to be good for several people who've already reposted stories, not to mention me. It's too late now though, I posted two of my old stories, as did a few other people I know. However, I believe one story I have might be okay because I posted it in March/April time period, if I'm not mistaken. I'll have to check back on the archives.

Thanks for all the info, though, guys. Really appreciate it. :)

Yeah. =/ I figure some I might edit parts of and then repost, which I guess would be allowed if it's not the very original. But I suppose that I might post a library and have links from the archives of my old stories, and people can still comment on them. ^_^
