Suddenly it's November again! Which means NaNo. And between that and incoming Bionicle 2015, I'm really stacking up the reasons to finish that sequel to The Shadow and the Sea next month.

I actually put 50k words into it last NaNo, and was kind of horrified to find I wasn't actually near the end. The plan this time is to put another 50k into it, and hopefully that'll finish it. Regardless of if it does or not, it's going to need a lot of editing and cutting. But it's a project that's been bouncing around in my head for two years now, and it's well past time I finished it.

This is playing a bit loose with the traditional NaNo definition, I know. And the fact I plan to take a few days here and there to work on unrelated short stories (maybe original, maybe fic) adds on to that. But I've always felt the point of NaNo was not so much what you write as that you write. And I'm glad to see fairly heavy BZP turnout this year!
