how many of those do you have? An average collection of Bionicle sets should provitde anyone with enough of those pieces to avoid wearing them all out.

 

I suggest wedging something (like the wall of a Lego brick) into the slit on the connector peg and try to widen the prongs. That should give it a bit more friction.

I brought a load not to long ago. Brand new. Had the same problem. I know now it was down to the actual hole that time, but I still blamed those blues

I only hate them because they're blue.

 

Back in the good ol' days they were black like a decent piece of plastic.
