So. starting around early June this year, I got bored. Browsed some other websites, came to BZP eventually, and figured that I'd give Buy Sell Trade a look. Lo and Behold, Bionicle Raptor is selling Pohatu Nuva and Lewa Mata. But here's the thing: I could afford it! So I got all the stuff together for the trade and a few days later I got them. And so it began.

A while later, here I am. I started out with only Tahu Mata and Takanuva, and added Pohatu Nuva and Lewa Mata. Now I have a complete set of Nuva, plus Tahu, Pohatu, Lewa, and Onua Mata, each with their Golden Kanohi. But alas, I have run out of funds, and can no longer pursue Gali and Kopaka. Sometimes I hate being only 15, but my birthday is in 6 days, so I'll finally be able to get a job!

I gotta say, these Nuva are amazing. I wasn't a fan of Bionicle until 2005, and back then my first sets were Vakama Hordika and Toa Iruni. But now, 7 years later, I can finally appreciate them. But, I gotta confess, as great as the Nuva are, I actually like the Mata more. The Nuva have the silver armor and weapons, with larger, more vicious Kanohi, but they look kind of same-y. I think the silver kind of overrides their primary colored bodies, making them look more of their secondary color than anything else. Take Kopaka Nuva for example. His silver armor pn his white body, coupled with his light gray secondary color makes him look gray, with the only visible white being his mask, feet, and shield.

The Mata, on the other hand, are the perfect blend of primary and secondary, and sometimes even tertiary. Don't get me wrong, I'm no professional set reviewer, just a guy on the internet spouting his opinion, but seriously, look at the Mata. They're built similarly, so you know that they're on a team. Their colors stand out instead of fading together. Their weapons are colored. When was the last time we saw that?

So to wrap up this second blog post of mine, Nuva=Awesome, Mata=More Awesome. That is all. For now...
