Interesting Developments on the BS01 History Front

While trying to remove some redlinks from the [http://biosector01.com/wiki/index.php/BIONICLEsector01:Event_Log BS01 Event Log]'s Archive, I found the page to be completely un-editable. Both Swert and I tried editing the page (myself trying both in whole and in section), but we both got fatal errors from it simply taking far too long for the site to execute the edit. Together, we decided that the best option that would preserve the archives was to split them between two pages. Well, I did that, and they work!

The ELog Archive was roughly ~244 kB of information between text and coding. My own Histories page? 229.356 kB.

I'm apparently nearing some kind of critical mass where I, at least, will not be able to edit my own subpage, apparently due to sheer size.

Dividing the ELog Archive was easy. I asked KH (Naina) how she, as an old ELog Manager, would like to divide the years and she said to put 2010 and 2011 onto the newly created Archive 2. But, while my own page is organized in roughly chronological order, there isn't as clean a dividing point as the Archives.

I think my best idea so far is to separate out Events versus non-Events, and create a Histories 2 subpage to move one or the other onto. But that leads to a curious dilemma: which do I put where? This is not a trivial decision. Currently, BS01 only allows two User Subpages per member, and I would like to keep these under my own name. The sticking point is the Original File. The File that got me started. The V File.

Originally composed as both a profile of Toa V (an alias of Swert, if you will) and as a record of the BS01 Empire incident, the V File could be considered my signature record on the page. So, it should stay on the main Histories page, right? But the V File no longer falls under the Events category, and it wasn't just V that got me started, it is the April Events. In fact, it is the April Events that really got my chronicling bit going. So THEY should stay on the main Histories page, shouldn't they?

I suppose I should be glad this is the only thing currently vexing me (besides an ex-girlfriend I'm curiously close with) considering I really need good grades this semester and I have an upcoming Med School interview, but it really does bother me XD

Oh God... I just realized. If I split the pages, I'll need a quote for the top of each page. It would only be right, considering that I currently practice the policy of a quote for every section.

Kill me. Now.
