Med School Match
So, for people who apply through the Texas Medical and Dental School Application Service (TMDSAS), a process known as "match" begins this coming Monday. I don't know how other med school app services and processes work, but for TMDSAS, you rank the school you interview with online, and they rank you, and then you get matched to a med school based on both those ranks... sort of. No one is entirely sure of how it works except for those who run it. But it apparently works, and there are 4 days until that process starts. Once all the match admissions happen, they do rolling admissions as people get offers they want more and drop the ones they got through match.
If I get a match offer, I'm taking it and holding onto it like it's made of diamond with pure gold and platinum veins forming stars inside the diamond.
If I don't get a match offer, I may cry, and then I'm going to hope and pray for an offer during rolling admissions.
The tension is real, and I'm super nervous
